In this privacy statement, the GCRE would like to provide clear and transparent information on how we handle your personal data. The GCRE is convinced that the protection and security of your personal data is essential. Your personal data are therefore treated and secured with the greatest possible care.

This privacy statement relates to all personal details collected by the GCRE when you fill in the contact form on this website.

The GCRE naturally adheres to the applicable laws and regulations, including the AVG. This entails that the GCRE in any event:

  • process your personal details in accordance with the purpose for which they were provided, these purposes and types of personal details are described in this privacy statement;
  • keeps the processing of your personal details limited to only those details that are minimally necessary for the purposes for which they are processed;
  • asks for your explicit permission if we need this for the processing of your personal details
  • has taken appropriate technical and/or organisational measures so that the security of your personal details is guaranteed;
  • will not pass on personal data to other parties, unless this is necessary for the execution of the purposes for which they have been provided, with due observance of the provisions of this privacy statement;
  • is aware of your rights regarding your personal data, wants to point these out to you and will respect these.

Personal data

Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. Personal data that we process are:

  • Basic information such as your first and last name, prefix;
  • Contact details such as your email address.

The GCRE processes this personal data because you have provided it to us by filling in the contact form.

Purpose and basis of the processing

The GCRE processes your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To contact you and/or provide our services to you upon your request.

In general, the GCRE processes your personal data only for the purposes indicated above. Where Branch Partners uses your data for other (closely related) purposes, additional data protection measures will be put in place if required by law.

We must be able to base the use of your personal data on one of the grounds specified in Article 6 of the AVG. Based on this article, we process your data on the following bases:

  • for the execution or conclusion of a contract;
  • for compliance with a legal obligation;
  • you give permission for the processing; or
  • for a legitimate interest.

The GCRE processes personal data for the following purposes, on the following bases:

Security of personal data

The GCRE takes the protection of your personal data very seriously and has therefore taken appropriate technical and organisational measures, including where necessary with/to third parties with whom we cooperate via a processor’s agreement, to ensure an appropriate level of security in order to protect your personal data against unauthorised or unlawful processing and against loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised amendment.

If you suspect that your data is not properly secured or that there are indications of misuse, please notify us as soon as possible so that we can immediately take the necessary measures.

Retention period of personal data

The GCRE does not retain your personal data longer than is necessary for the purpose of processing (Article 5(1)(c) of the AVG).

Register

The GCRE, as the controller, keeps a register of the processing activities carried out under the responsibility of BranchePartners (Article 30 of the AVG).

Your privacy rights

As a data subject, you have a number of legal rights. Below is a further explanation:

  • Right of access. This means that you can make a request to access the personal data relating to you. Please note that there may be circumstances in which we are entitled to refuse your request for access to copies of personal data, for example, on the basis of legal professional privilege;
  • The right to rectification or correction of your personal data if it is incorrect or incomplete;
  • The right to erasure of the personal data relating to you. Please note that there may be circumstances in which we are required to retain your data to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations;
  • The right to object to or request the restriction of processing. Again, there may be circumstances in which we are legally entitled to refuse your request;
  • The right to data portability. This means that you have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and that you have the right to transfer that data to another controller;
  • The right to object to profiling;
  • The right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority;
  • The right to withdraw your consent. Again, there may be circumstances in which we have the right to continue processing your data, in particular if the processing is required to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.

Sharing your personal data with others

The GCRE may share your personal data with third parties, in accordance with the applicable legislation if this is necessary for carrying out the purposes described above. This may include, but is not limited to:

  • Third party vendors in connection with the processing of your personal data for the purposes described in this Privacy Statement, such as IT providers, communication service providers or other vendors to whom we outsource certain support services;
  • Supervisory authorities and other bodies, in order to comply with legal obligations.

The GCRE will only share personal data in accordance with this privacy statement and/or if required by law. If the GCRE believes that your approval is appropriate under the circumstances, the GCRE will seek your approval before sharing your personal data.

We never pass on personal data to other parties with whom no processing agreement has been entered into. We naturally make the necessary arrangements with these parties (processors) to guarantee the security of your personal details.

In order to be able to provide our services, we may transfer your personal data to a third party in a country outside the European Economic Area. In this case, the GCRE will ensure that the data transfer complies with the applicable legislation.
